Her Majesty the Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh visited the Islands for the first time in nearly 45 years.
The Isles of Scilly AONB Partnership and the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust were lucky enough to display the work of the AONB Partnership and the unique martime environment Scilly has to offer. The Queen was met by other members of the local community including Duchy of Cornwall farm tenants and members from the Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (IFCA).
The Queen was particulary interested in Scilly’s resident populations of Atlantic Grey Seals.
It was a great day, enjoyed by all!
