The AONB Unit and the RSPB joined forces at the St Agnes, Bryher and St Martin’s fêtes to raise awareness of the Isles of Scilly Seabird Recovery Project and the <a href="http://ios-aonb.info/projects_detail viagra 100mg preis.asp?id=33″>AONB Partnership’s Honeybee Health Project.
Collectively we raised £80 for the Isles of Scilly Seabird Recovery Project through a raffle to win a lovely Kittiwake print, which was donated by local artist Vickie Heaney from the Print ScillyGallery. Congratulations go to John on St Martin’s who won the print!
The Honeybee Hive Game proved a huge hit with Young People from across the Islands. Participants were encouraged to collect as much pollen as they could from the flower, transporting it back to their hives in under a minute, whilst dressed as a honeybee!
Amongst all the excitement there was a great deal of interest in both projects from local residents and visitors alike. The Island fêtes offer a great, local platform to showcase the work of the AONB Partnership, something which we hope to do again next year.
