Isles of Scilly - AONB

Trust for Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Big Beach Clean Up

In October, the Trust for Conservation Volunteers (TCV), visited the Islands as part of their annual volunteer holiday. The AONB Partnership supports TCV during their stay in Scilly.

This year 10 volunteers participated in helping clean Scilly’s beaches.

In all, TCV and the AONB Partnership helped to:

-Clean 15 beaches across the Islands;

-Collect 55 bags full of marine borne litter;

– Collect 22 large items (fishing pots, oil drums)

AONB Unit staff would like to thank TCV volunteers for all their help in cleaning Scilly’s beaches and look forward to their return next year!
