Update on NELMS Scheme Development in the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall and Devon

On July 1st Natural England hosted a webinar for the Devon, Plymouth and Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnerships to provide an introduction to the forthcoming New Environmental Land Management Scheme (NELMS).  During the session Natural England specialists provided information about the scheme evolution, the key outcomes of Biodiversity 2020 and Water Quality, information about the scheme architecture and the forthcoming Targeting and Validation workshops.

The recording of the webinar is available here to help you get up to speed with the scheme. From this link enter your name in the top field and press ‘submit’. The webinar will be available for 1 month and is a prerequisite for those attending the Targeting and Validation workshops over the next two weeks. Natural England is hosting a workshop in Scilly on Thursday 10th July (Council Chamber, Old Wesleyan Chapel, Hugh Town, St Mary’s at 10.30 a.m.)

Please feel free to pass this link around your organisations to enable staff delivering in the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall and Devon to understand the scheme as it has been developed.

As the scheme is further developed updates will be available through the Defra and Natural England Websites.
