A drop-in session for the Local Action Group (LAG) is being held in the Old Wesleyan Chapel, St. Mary’s from 3-5pm Friday 25th July for businesses, community groups and stakeholders in Scilly who would like to know how to get involved with shaping the Islands’ future, becoming a LAG member or looking at funding a project next year.
This will be followed 5-7pm by the first meeting of the new Local Action Group where membership will be confirmed and work will begin on the next programme.
The aim is to help local voices shape how the 2015-20 LEADER/ CLLD programme is delivered and start preparing proposals for new projects and investments in the economy locally. New members of the Local Action Group are invited to come forward and seize the opportunity to shape the Islands’ economic future in developing a new Local Development Strategy.
Evaluation of how the previous programme operated will be looked at and the community invited to comment on how the next one can be improved.
Please contact Sarah Taylor, IOS LAG Programme Manager on email@example.com or Tel 01720 424801 to express your interest in joining the Local Action Group or come to the drop in session in the Old Wesleyan Chapel.
