Sustainable Development Fund 2010-2011The Isles of Scilly AONB Grant Advisory Panel (GAP) meets on Friday 13th August 2010 to evaluate applications to the Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) 2010-2011. SDF supports innovative projects that conserve and enhance the environment of Scilly and that facilitate sustainable social and economic development on the Islands.
They left only bootprintsOver the past month three ‘regiments’ of volunteers have visited Scilly to partner the Isles of Scilly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Unit in keeping our beaches clean. The 17 men that comprise 824 Squadron at RNAS Culdrose, 12 Penzance Sea Cadets and 12 volunteers from the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) cleared marine-borne litter from 25 beaches across 6 islands, removing a total of 160 bags of waste and 50 other large items that have washed up on our shores.
