The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust is the leading local charity protecting wildlife, the landscape and archaeological sites of the islands and care for 60% of the landmass of Scilly. This includes all of the uninhabited islands, islets and rocks and most of the coastal fringes on the inhabited islands of St. Mary’s, St. Agnes, Bryher and St. Martin’s. There are two nature trails on St. Mary’s with bird hides. The Trust has an office based on St. Mary’s and an information centre situated in St. Mary’s quay waiting room.

The Trust is affiliated to The Wildlife Trusts comprising of 47 local Trusts throughout the UK and together form the UK’s leading charitable conservation body dedicated to conserving the full range of the UK’s habitats and species, whether they be in the countryside, in cities or at sea. We manage 2,200 nature reserves covering more than 84,000 hectares; we stand up for wildlife; we inspire people about the natural world and we foster sustainable living.

Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust members receive the Wildlife Trusts ‘Natural World’ magazine and a local ‘Wild Cornwall and Wild Scilly’ membership magazine. Donations and membership is used to support work locally on the Isles of Scilly. A team of local and residential volunteers assist the Trust's work.
